SAPA PORTRAITS

350 km north-west of Hanoi, Sa Pa is located in Lao Cai Province, close to the border with China. There are mainly 5 ethnic groups in Sapa: Hmong 52%, Dao 25%, Tay 5%, Giay 2% and a small number of Xa Pho.

We spent two days there in early December. There were no opportunities for landscapes as the town was thick with mist and the temperature plummeted to 5 degrees.
